Farewell to Springboro!
Our business is thriving. Smitten is stronger than ever and we are growing, elevating, and refining daily.
But no longer at 205 S. Main St. in Springboro.
It’s with a sad but grateful heart I announce that our Springboro store will be a liquidation only store through APRIL 15.
AFTER 8 YEARS in Springboro, and 7 years at this location, we have decided to focus our efforts solely on our Oakwood location and our online store. This decision was not easy, as I know that we are seen as an anchor on Main St, and I do believe that we are so very loved by the community. However it is evident that our most loyal customers are choosing to drive to Oakwood for the full experience of our brand- for all of our product line and to pick up a treat from Ordinarie Fare (the cafe and coffeeshop located inside). These next couple weeks we are launching two new major brands , we have brought on additional staff this month, and we are soaring. We have found much success as Oakwood is a walking community, one that values small business, and with close proximity to a number of Universities. We have simply evolved and outgrown this location.
However we dearly love Springboro and that corner has been filled with so many chapters of our lives. Growing our families, major life moves, shop renovations, having our kids “work” the shoppe with us… it’s been our growing place and our happy place, and leaving this community won’t come lightly. We are still THRILLED about what is happening in Springboro - and our hope is that you can please realize that these businesses can’t be taken for granted. They are the heartbeat of the city and need frequent support. This year Historic Springboro now has DORA, plus monthly Ladies Nights, Art Fest on Main, Christmas in Springboro, a strong Historical Society, a vibrant Chamber of Commerce, pleasant walkability with beautiful and inspiring businesses, and so much more. I will remain a Chamber member and continue to serve as a Board Member on the Christmas in Springboro Festival Committee, because I love this community so much and will continue to give back to it. However, shoppe smitten will soon be an Oakwood-only retail location.
That said, through April 15 we will be open weekly Th-F-Sat, and everything in our Springboro location will be 25% off, plus some fixtures, racks, and display pieces will be for sale. We are migrating inventory this week so that it’s an Everything Must Go location. We also would love to help find the next best tenant for Main St, so if you are interested in our beautiful little corner space, please reach out.
Thank you for a beautiful 8 years, Springboro. Glad that we are still in Dayton for you (and as many of you know, we will gladly hand deliver or ship from our online store to your doorstep if you can’t make it in).
